Finding care for a parent usually starts with a search that hands you a filtered list. This site exists to hand you the unfiltered one.

Why other lists are incomplete

The large senior living sites are referral brokers. When a family they referred moves into a facility, that facility pays them a fee, commonly the resident's entire first month of rent and care, which can run several thousand dollars. It is a real service and plenty of families use it happily. But it has a side effect: a home that will not sign that agreement does not appear in the results. Small family-run homes usually cannot afford it, so an entire category of Florida care becomes invisible online.

We take no placement fees and no per-move-in commissions, so there is no reason to hide anyone. All 3,017 licensed facilities are here.

Where the data comes from

Everything on this site is public record published by the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA), the agency that licenses and inspects assisted living facilities. We read the licensing register and each facility's profile, then present it in a form a person can actually use. We do not add opinions, ratings, or scores of our own.

Licensing: license number, status, effective and expiration dates, licensed bed capacity, administrator and licensee.
Inspections: the count of survey deficiencies by severity class, complaints, fines and formal legal actions.
Programs: Medicaid assisted living waiver, Medicaid assistive care services, and specialty licenses for extended congregate care, limited nursing and limited mental health.
Facility-reported details: languages spoken, nurse availability, payment types accepted and activities. These come from the facility's own filing, so treat them as claims to verify, not verified facts.

Last refreshed 2026-08-15. The state record changes constantly as inspections close and licenses renew, so always confirm anything decisive directly with AHCA or the home.

How to read an inspection finding

Florida sorts each deficiency into a class. The class matters far more than the count.

Class I

An immediate danger to residents, or a situation that caused or is likely to cause death or serious harm. Rare, and serious.

Class II

A direct threat to the health, safety or security of residents.

Class III

An indirect threat. The most common class by far.

Class IV

A minor issue, usually paperwork, records or posting requirements, with no effect on residents.

A home with three Class IV findings and a home with one Class II finding are not comparable, even though the first has more. We show the counts by class on every listing so the difference is visible rather than buried in a single number.

How this site makes money

Home owners can claim their listing and pay a flat monthly fee to add photos, a description, current openings and a direct contact route. That is advertising, and it never changes the inspection data shown, never changes the ordering of results, and never removes a competitor from the list. There are no placement fees and no commissions tied to anyone moving in, which also keeps us clear of Florida's rules on referral payments involving Medicaid residents.
